Big Talk Productions Ltd. is an English film and
television production company established in 1995 by Nira Park.

They are most famous for their horror/comedy
films, such as Shaun of the Dead 2004.
Hot Fuzz 2007, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World 2010, Paul 2011, Attack the Block
2011, Sightseers 2012, and The World’s
End 2013.

The production company are also popular for
their critically acclaimed TV series such as Spaced, Him and Her, and
Friday Night Dinner.

Big Talk productions are headquartered in London
at 26 Nassau Street.

Big Talk have won multiple awards as both an
independent company, as well as joined production, over the years that they
have existed.

Nira Park founded Big Talk in 1995, through
which she produced both series of Simon Pegg and Jessica Hynes’ award-winning
comedy series ‘Spaced’.

Kenton Allen became Chief Executive of Big Talk
Productions in September 2008. He is a multi-award-winning programme-maker.

Matthew Justice joined Nira Park at Big Talk in
2007, as Managing Director. Matthew has over twenty years’ experience in film
and television.

Simon Pegg co-wrote and co-starred (as Tim
Bisley) in the worldwide acclaimed, cult television show Spaced. He moved on to
develop and co-write, with Edgar Wright, Shaun of the Dead, starring as hero,
Shaun.

Edgar Wright is an award winning filmmaker. With
projects like the UK series ‘Spaced’, the ‘zom-com’ ‘Shaun of the Dead’, and
action/comedy opus Hot Fuzz, he’s turned into one of the most sought after directors
working in film today.

On October 13, 2008, it was announced that BBC
Worldwide had bought 25% of Big Talk Productions from CEO, Nira Park, and
Managing Director, Matthew Justice. This is when Kenton Allen joined the
company.

On 26 July 2013, it was announced that ITV had
bought Big Talk Productions for £12.5 million from BBC Worldwide.
·
October 6, 2010, David Mitchell and Robert Webb
had formed ‘That Mitchell and Webb Company’ with Big Talk.
·
In 2007, Nira Park expanded Big Talk Productions
to create Big Talk Pictures, a feature film subsidiary separately controlled
but owned by Big Talk Productions.

Nira Park, Edgar Wright, Matthew Justice and
James Wilson all produce for the company and Park and Wright are now producing
partners. They collaborated on Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World, starring Michael
Cera, which was released internationally in August 2010.

All new programming produced by Big Talk has
been filmed in High-Definition since 2007.
